Papou's Majik Mix

Papou and Yiayia (Grandpa and Grandma in Greek) owned one of the top Greek catering companies in Denver for over 30 years. Papou says a secret of their success was Majik Mix. Yiayia says it was her salad dressing (coming soon!) The real answer was their philoxenia*, their love of cooking, hosting, and attention to detail. From 500 person weddings (we said it was Greek didn't we) to 25 person private dinners, Majik Mix found its way on to the food and in turn to people's hearts. People loved the food and always asked Papou where they could buy his special seasoning. He was adamant that it will never be for sale (Papou is a stubborn Greek after all). Papou never even gave the recipe to his own son! He did give it to his 3 year old grandson though and that was his sign it was time to make it available to all who seek the Majik in their kitchen. Together with his son, Papou is now making his secret blend available to you. While you might not yet have the agapi love of a Yiayia and the wisdom of a Papou, you can now taste the Majik on your food and maybe, just maybe, you can experience the joy of philoxenia. *Philoxenia (φιλοξενία) is a Greek word that translates to "love of strangers" or "hospitality." It embodies the concept of welcoming, caring for, and showing generosity to strangers or guests.
