I have served as Director of the Denver Greek School for 20 years, working to preserve and celebrate Greek language and culture in our community. I’m a Colorado state-licensed teacher with a master’s degree in Educational Psychology and Special Education, specializing in Gifted Education. I currently work in the Department of Neurodiverse Student Services at Cherry Creek School District, where I support diverse learners and promote equitable opportunities for all students.

I am excited to join the Greek School teaching team this fall. I have worked in education with Denver Public Schools for over 15 years, serving both as a classroom teacher and primarily as a coach and evaluator supporting elementary school teachers. Education, mentorship, and lifelong learning have always been passions of mine, and I am especially honored to give back to the Greek community through the very same Greek School I attended as a child. I look forward to helping students build meaningful connections to the Greek language, culture, and traditions.

I was born in Greece and grew up immersed in its rich language and traditions, which inspired me to share this beautiful heritage with others. Teaching Greek to young children brings me joy because I get to watch them learn. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping kids connect with a language that carries thousands of years of history, philosophy, and stories while building bridges between cultures.

I grew up in Athens, Greece, and graduated from the Hellenic American Educational Foundation before moving to Colorado in 2019 to pursue my Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics at CU Denver. I have been teaching and helping out with the Greek school since 2023, and although I now work full-time in technology, I continue to share my love for the Greek language and culture with children in my free time. Teaching is a meaningful way for me to stay connected to my heritage while helping the younger generation experience Greek culture in a fun, engaging, and memorable way.

I have been with the Denver School of Modern Greek since 2014. I have been teaching since 2007, with experience in both Greece and the United States. I hold a bachelors degree in Pedagogy from the University of Ioannina in Greece, along with certifications in teching Greek as a second language. Additionally, I have received training in both teaching and coordinating classes for adults and primary school students. Teaching is not just my profession - it's my passion. I'm deeply committed to helping my students succeed, and their progress is my greatest motivation.

I am a native of beautiful Colorado. I actually spoke Greek before English as my parents were both born in Greece and wanted to instill in myself and my siblings the Greek language and culture. I also attended and graduated the Greek School program, the same one that exists today in Denver and I now have the pleasure of teaching for. Having resided in Greece for many years I am fluent in the Greek language and it gives me great joy helping others to learn it! 🇬🇷

I was born in Athens Greece. Attended University of Colorado in Boulder and studied Ancient Greek, Latin, Classical Antiquities and History. I taught Latin and History in secondary education in Adams District 12 for 30 years and after retirement I substituted in Adams District 12 for 15 years. I have been involved and taught in our Greek school programs for 34 years. Teaching was and continues to be one of my passions in life.

I am a Denver Greek School graduate and am thrilled for the opportunity to help the new generation learn about our culture, history and customs just like I did here at the school. Likewise, I have spent a lifetime here at the church participating in various opportunities as a child and adult. From being one of the original dancers at the Hellenic Dance Academy to choir, GOYA, basketball, volleyball, Greek Festival, Philoptochos, etc. I also had the great honor of directing the Hellenic Dance Academy for over 30 years.
